Nebraska Brewing Company Scores Two Medals in The Festival of Wood & Barrel Aged Beer

This past weekend, the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild held their 8th Annual Festival of Wood and Barrel Aged Beer.

This festival is unique in that it features only beers that have been aged or soured in barrels. Over 50 breweries competed this year in what has become one of the countries best organized and enjoyable events.

Nebraska Brewing Company is pleased to announce that we were awarded 2 medals in the Strong / Double / Imperial Pale Beer category.

The Bronze Medal went to our Oaked Rye IPA and the Gold Medal went to Melange a Trois.

The Oaked Rye IPA is our award winning Rye IPA which spends 2 months in new Missouri Oak.

Melange a Trois is a Strong Belgian Blonde Ale which matures for an additional 6 months in French Oak Chardonay barrels. Both beers are bottle conditioned.
