Ortega On Beer – New England Road Trip: D. L. Geary’s Brewing Company

So back in early March, three co-workers/co-conspirators decided to take me up on a offer of a road trip North to visit some breweries. Our first stop after landing & lunch at The Great Lost Bear. (Portland’s best beer bar) was D. L. Geary’s in Portland Maine.

For those of you that don’t know, Geary’s is New England’s first craft brewery (take that Boston Beer CO.), founded in 1983 by David & Karen Geary. There is no denying that Geary’s is a pioneer of American craft beer movement. Take a look...
