Kloster Reutberg

Our brewery is located close to the alps south of munich in the Bad Tölz area. For more details you will find a map here. In the year 1618, the monistery Reutberg was founded by Gräfin Anna von Pienzenau. 59 years later, the nuns began to brew beer. After more than 325 years the brewery is independent of the monistery and is now owned by a companionship. This cooperativet has now about 4000 members. Each year in march, there is meeting of the shareholder: it is the famous Josefi-Fest at the brewery in a beer-tent at the brewery. Pictures about this big event, you will find here. The award-winnig brewery offers 6 different beers. They are brewed according the German Purity Law. On top of the monistery-hill you will find also our famous beer garden where you can enjoy the nice view to the alps.
