Suggest new beers and breweries to add to GreatBrewers.com

Thanks to our loyal visitors, GreatBrewers.com has grown pretty quickly in the eight months since its relaunch. We'll be entering new territories with Beer Finder coverage in the imminent future, and we're adding new products and breweries to the database all the time.

At the time of this post, we have more than 1,900 complete beer descriptions set up on GreatBrewers.com, and the story behind more than 400 breweries from around the globe.

If you notice breweries or beers that are not listed, which you would like added to the site, you can now let us know via the Contact Us form. Select "Suggest New Brand or Product" as your category, enter your message, and hit "Send e-mail." Please include as much information as possible.

EDIT: New Products can now be submitted via the Submit New Product page, which is accessible under the "More Links" menu at the bottom of the page.

For all the brewers out there, if you're interested in managing your own content on GreatBrewers.com (along with access to some other great marketing tools), check out the Voice of the Brewer program - dozens of brewers have already gotten involved, and the feedback so far has been extremely positive.

Thanks, in advance, for helping us build a better site.

Cheers,

Eric

With the new Submit New Product form (accessible under the "More Links" menu at the bottom of the page), all GreatBrewers.com users can now submit new brands, products, and UPC codes to the database. Thanks, in advance, for helping us keep GreatBrewers.com as updated as possible!

Submitting New Products with Mobile App (Android)

Love the mobile app and definitely want to support building the community dataset, but a few comments about adding new products. I just picked up my newest beer of the month club shipment, and when going to enter the beers in the app, only 3 of the 9 showed up. I tried to enter the beer data in the Android app, but the user experience could use some tweaking (love that you can scan the labels btw).

-When no results are found, you are given the options "New Search" and "Submit New ProductActivity". Would "Submit New Product" be more clear?

-When you select "Submit New Product" it takes you to the same new product page as the web page. This is not optimized for mobile (you can scroll to the right and all the data, if formated correctly, could probably fit on a single screen). Also, since I am already logged into the app, shouldn't my name and email address be auto-populated (or handled in the background).

-If you are submitting a new product from a barcode scan, shouldn't that be the default submission type?

-When you click continue your a taken to the next page that is not formated for mobile screens.

-You are asked for the Product page on GreatBrewers.com. I don't see a feasable way of getting that on the mobile device. Could you maybe have a page that allows a user to search by brewery or beer (like the main page of the app) and select one if it matches.

-Since you already scanned the UPC, couldn't that be entered automaticly. You could then select where the UPC is from (Bottle/Can, Six-pack/12-Pack, Case).

-Clicking next takes you to the "Final Notes" page (again not formated for mobile). It would be helpful if this page was more structured. Have a space for Brewery (if not found), brewery location, beer name, beer size, and any other information you would find helpful. Location purchased and price might also be useful data.

-After submitting the product form, you get a thank you message but no link back to the main page. To navigate back you hit the menu button and the only option given you is "BeerCloud Home".

-Another great feature (I think I heard it was being worked on) is to add the beers scanned to a list (eg. My Cellar or Beers I Drank Last Night).

Thank you very much for all

Thank you very much for all the suggestions. We will work on the improvements, but it might take a while, because we have other priorities at the moment.
