Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White is unique and truly refreshing. Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and our own special blend of spices, this beer is light and slightly cloudy in appearance, with a spicy aroma.
Pair with a salad with vinaigrette dressing or a fresh goat cheese. Excellent accompaniment to poultry and fish entrées or a dessert such as a spicy apple pie.
Sierra Nevada Torpedo Ale is a big American IPA; bold, assertive and full of flavor and aromas highlighting the complex citrus, pine and herbal character of whole-cone American hops.
With a bold emphasis on hop bitterness, India pale ales are the ultimate beverage pairing for spicy dishes. The sharp hop presence in most India pale ales can stand up to even the most devilish of spices in Cajun, Malaysian, Japanese, Indian, and Mexican cuisine.
Hop fans rejoice! Sunshine Pils combines the crisp taste of European style pilsners with a kicked-up hop character to create a balanced, refreshing seasonal beer. Golden in color with a fluffy white head, Sunshine Pils is the perfect beer for Summer.
Since Sunshine Pils is a Summer beer, it is a fine compliment with all types of salads. It also pairs well with all shell fish and mild fish filets.
Thanks for choosing to spend the next few minutes with this special homicidally hoppy ale. Savor the moment as the raging hop character engages the imperial qualities of the Malt foundation in mortal combat on the battlefield of your palate!
This IPA would have a wonderful relationship with a hearty meal of steak, stew or chili. Strong and sharp cheeses, like the Roquefort or Stilton pair nicely.
Brooklyn Summer Ale is a mondern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England in the 40's. They were also called "luncheon ales" or even "family ales," because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives the light-bodied, golden beer a fresh, bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light, crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma, resulting in a berr with a very sunny disposition.
Excellent with salads, seafood, quiches and lightly spiced dishes. It's also great at lunch!
Elder Betty is a weisse-style wheat ale. It is hazy and unfiltered with a slightly bready maltiness along with a tart, berry flavor as a result of the addition of elderberries. It is a very refreshing beer for a lazy summer afternoon.
Play ball! Bigger than average on all counts. This strong pale ale goes down easy so beware. Creamy head and lingering hop flavor. If your worried it's OK to leave the light on. Overbuilt with 5 malts and 6 additions of 3 English hops.
This is truly an appetizer brew or the obvious ball park frank, Nachos, buffalo wings, cheese fries, pizza
Fisherman's Brew is an American Amber Lager, brewed by the docks of America's oldest seaport, Gloucester, Mass, from the finest 2-row barley imported from Munich, Belgium and England.
This Vienna Lager is fantastic with medium weight meals such as glazed hams, cured meats, smoked fish, chicken, turkey and Cornish hen dishes. This beer would also work well with nuts and salads with nut accents.
The citrusy hop flavor coming from a mixture of Simcoe and Santiams is pleasantly balanced by a smooth bitterness from the Amarillo hops. The beer itself is light bodied and crisp with a golden color that will throw a slight haze, as we bottle it unfiltered. At 65 IBU's, this is definitely not a training-wheels IPA, but is meant for hop lovers looking to satisfy their craving in a way that's not easy to find. We think they'll be quite pleased.
Rich meats, wild fowl, intense earthy pastas are great choices as well as stews and chilies. Strong and sharp cheeses would pair nicely.
Our flagship beer, an English style pale ale. Wonderfully balanced with Maris Otter malt, hints of crystal malt and generously hopped with East Kent Goldings, it has a rich honey color and fruity hop aroma. It is named in honor of Nantucket's whaling history.
This English style ale was primarily brewed to go along with all sorts of seafood yet lends itself well with game bird, broth style soups and particularly well with almonds.
Named Cinq Cents in 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, this beer with its typical golden color, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterized by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer's flavor, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of Muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth.
This complex Tripel is a perfect choice as an aperitif with crab cakes, scallops or mussels or an assertive cheese such as a Roquefort or a Stilton; particularly delightful with asparagus. The perfect accompaniment to a fruit dessert, crepes or wonderful on its own as a digestif.
