The style of our summer ale is traditionally European, similar to a German Kölsch: full bodied with a spicy hop tang and a rich, crystal clear golden color.

If Green Flash were founded in historical Belgium, Rayon Vert would have been our flagship brew. A bold layering of hops finds balance from traditional malts. Bottle conditioning with fresh ale yeast and Brettanomyces finishes the beer, adding a delightful effervescence, dryness and continuously evolving character. "Rayon Vert" means "Green Flash" in French.

Elder Betty is a weisse-style wheat ale. It is hazy and unfiltered with a slightly bready maltiness along with a tart, berry flavor as a result of the addition of elderberries. It is a very refreshing beer for a lazy summer afternoon.

The first offering from the Coastal Extreme Brewing Company blends some of the world's finest ingredients into a delightful beer. In producing our amber ale, we selected the highest quality European and American malts and hops. This ale has a malt character which is delicately balanced with its hop profile so that consumers of all levels enjoy drinking it. Hurricane Amber Ale is a full flavored beer which clearly has more taste than other domestic and imported light beers while at the same time does not overpower the drinker with heavy body or excessive bitterness.

Ovila Abbey Ales will closely follow the traditions established by centuries of monastic brewing. “Thirty years ago, I never thought we would be working with a monastery,” says Ken Grossman, founder of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. “I first toured some of the Belgian abbey breweries in the 1980’s, and I’ve been fascinated with the beers ever since. It’s exciting for us to work on this project, and to experiment with these unique Belgian-inspired styles. The response so far has been great, and I can’t wait for the first release.”
