Brewed with English malts, aromatic hops, and water rich in essential salts and minerals, Bass has a malty, lightly hoppy taste, that combined with its slight burnt roast aroma, creates a full-bodied flavor of the highest quality.
This English Pale Ale pairs nicely with clear broth based soups, salted almonds, game birds and all sorts of seafood. This brew also offers a nice balance to spicier Indian and Cajun foods.
Barons Black Wattle Original Ale was the first in this new class of beer - flavoured by native Australian roasted wattle seed. This multi-award winning ale has a rich amber colour and a base malt flavour of toffee and caramel. The roasted wattle seed rounds out the offering with a unique taste that hints of hazelnut, chocolate and mocha. It is a full bodied, full flavoured beer that is surprisingly smooth with an amazingly silky finish.
Aroma: Roasted nuts and chocolate, milky coffee
Barons Black Wattle Original Ale can best be enjoyed with beef, lamb, gourmet snags or game meats such as Roo.
Color: very light, hardly any sparkling, fine white head
Taste: the bitterness introduced already in the aroma, comes completely forward in the aftertaste. Considered one of the top Pilsners during the Michael Jackson International Pilsner tasting in Beer Passion Magazine, autumn 2000, where 27 Pilsners from around the world were ‘blind’ tasted and compared.
This black beer has a mild roasted malt character without the associated bitterness. This is not a full bodied beer, but rather a moderate body gently enhances malt flavor and aroma with low to moderate levels of sweetness. Hop bitterness is low to medium in character. Noble-type hop flavor and aroma should be low but perceptible. There should be no fruity esters. Diacetyl should not be perceived.
Dark lagers are the ideal accompaniment to all manner of sausages, particularly hearty variations including bratwurst and kielbasa. It also works beautifully with baked ham.
This beer is fermented at a lower temperature than our standard ales, giving it a very malty taste. Scottish and English malts are melded together with English hops to create this ale’s strong, sweet, malty finish. The caramel color comes from a blending of 3 types of Scottish and English crystal malts. The hops are UK Kent Goldings, but only in small amounts, so that the malt flavor still comes through.

This bright golden colored lager beer pours brilliantly clear, with spritzy effervescence and a slight head. The beer tastes clean and refreshing with some mild cereal notes and some delicate hop bitterness. The finish is clean and relatively swift.
This lager would be fine companion served cold with pizza or pub food, but would also do quite well to have beside a light whitefish cooked with white wine and some crisp greens on the side.
Germany's best selling draught beer. Balanced taste of freshness and distinctive but crisp hop character.
A great gold pilsner will always work with all seafood dishes, clear broth soups and tapas. This brew also lends itself nicely jambalaya, falafels, and certain Caribbean dishes. Don't forget a good pilsner will always work with bar foods especially brats.
In Germany, there are provinces or states like we have in the U.S. Munich is the capital city of the province of Bavaria, which is sometimes called "The Cradle of the Art of Brewing." It's a place where beer is an art form to some and a religion to the rest.
In Bavaria, where the pilsner or "Pils" style was nurtured, brewmasters hold pilsners in very high esteem and almost universally prefer it to any other style of beer. These true pilsner beers are long lagered and heavily hopped, resulting in a light, crisp beer with a dry, bitter finish.
Bock reflects the tradition of genuine Bavarian beers as a brew only a craftsman like Kosmos Spoetzl, trained in the "Old Country," could bring to life. With its deep amber color, distinctive rich flavor and full body, Shiner Bock demonstrates the care of a handcrafted brewing process to bring forth a mellow taste free of the bitter aftertaste found in many micro, specialty and imported beers. Just think of it as Shiner smooth.
