Brewed By:
Jolly Pumpkin
Self-Defined Style:
Artisan Golden Ale
Strength (ABV):
8.0% ABV

Brewed in the Franco-Belgian tradition of strong golden ales. Spicy and peppery with a gentle hop bouquet and the beguiling influence of wild yeast.

Best With:
The strong carbonation of this blond would lift the oils from a rosemary salmon, leaving the flavors to mesh and melt on the palate.
product:

Mikkeller Single Hop Simcoe IPA

Product - Mikkeller Single Hop Simcoe IPA
Brewed By:
Mikkeller
Self-Defined Style:
American-Style India Pale Ale
Strength (ABV):
6.9% ABV

Brewed at De Proef Brouwerij, Lochristi-Hijfte, Belgium.

The first in a new series of single hop IPA's from Mikkeller. Brewed with Simcoe, known for many great US micro-brews. An extremely fresh-hopped IPA.

Ingredients :
Water, malts (pilsner, cara-crystal and munich), hops (simcoe) and yeast.

Best With:
With a bold emphasis on hop bitterness, India pale ales are the ultimate beverage pairing for spicy dishes. The sharp hop presence in most India pale ales can stand up to even the most devilish of spices in Cajun, Malaysian, Japanese, Indian, and Mexican cuisine.
product:

Schlenkerla Helles

Product - Schlenkerla Helles
Brewed By:
Schlenkerla
Self-Defined Style:
Helles Lager
Strength (ABV):
4.3% ABV

A golden colored lager beer with a hint of smokiness in the nose and palate. Made exclusively with unsmoked malts, this beer's smoky quality is derived from trace amounts of grain, as well as the yeast strain, which has evolved over decades to impart Schlenkerla's signature rauchbier palate.

Best With:
Pairs well with andouille sausages or other Cajun dishes, as well as spicy Mexican foods and sautéed meats such as ribs.
product:

Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen Weisse

Product - Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen Weisse
Brewed By:
Schneider
Self-Defined Style:
Dry Hopped Weissbock
Strength (ABV):
8.2% ABV
Bitterness (IBU):
40 IBU

This unique beer is the result of the long friendship of Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The two brewmasters feel that Schneider-Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse represents the quality, tradition and terroir of the Bavarian Hallertauer hop region paired with the innovation and creative energy for which Brooklyn is famous. The brewers at The Brooklyn Brewery eagerly await the July visit of Hans-Peter Drexler, when they will create Brooklyner-Schneider Hopfen-Weisse in Brooklyn.

Best With:
"I think a perfect thing for it would be salmon done in a Thai curry sauce…not something really, really spicy, but a little bit spicy so you have the classic pairing of a little bit of hop bitterness together with all the kind of tropical aromas that you have going on there, the mango, pineapple, and banana aromas." - Garrett Oliver, Brewmaster
product:

Sinebrychoff Porter

Product - Sinebrychoff Porter
Brewed By:
Sinebrychoff
Self-Defined Style:
Baltic Porter
Strength (ABV):
7.2% ABV

Smooth and oily, full of flavor, complex mix of bitter roastiness, fruitiness and a definite zip of hops. This Baltic Porter is spectacular new, but ages exceptionally well. A seasoned beer geek would be delighted to find a bottle over ten years old. It is an intense Baltic style porter, very much in the Imperial Style that Empress Katharina of Russia loved so much. She decreed that "all her soldiers" had to be supplied with it [18th century].

Best With:
This rich Baltic porter is a great accompaniment to a wide array of Mexican dishes, burgers, steaks, sausages, ham, smoky flavors and chocolate desserts.

Imperial coffee stout
Strength (ABV):
9.5% ABV

Péché Mortel (French for "Mortal Sin") is an intensely black and dense beer with very pronounced roasted flavours.
