LeFebvre Abbey De Floreffe Double

Product - Abbey DeFloreffe Double
Brewed By:
LeFebvre
Self-Defined Style:
Dubbel
Strength (ABV):
6.3% ABV

Floreffe Double owes its beautiful brown colour and its pronounced malty flavour to a clever balance of special malts. The main fermentation process lasts a whole week, thanks to carefully selected yeasts.
After cold decantation and clarification, yeast and sugar are added to the beer for a secondary fermentation process in the bottle. This is the traditional method developed by the monks at Floreffe Abbey.

Like all the beers in the Floreffe range, it is Recognized Belgian Abbey Beer approved.

Serve chilled between 4°C and 7°C or slightly chambrée.

product:

Achel 8° Blonde

Product - Achel Blonde 8
Brewed By:
Achel
Self-Defined Style:
Blonde Trappist Ale
Strength (ABV):
8.0% ABV

This blond, flavorful beer is a surprisingly refreshing brew at 8% alcohol by volume. It is lightly filtered, but still wholesomely hazy with yeast remaining in the bottle. For the moment, it shares the same label with the Achel Bruin beer, but can be differentiated by the cap - the Blonde has a white cap and the Bruin a gold cap.

Best With:
The strong carbonation of this blond would lift the oils from a rosemary salmon, leaving the flavors to mesh and melt on the palate.
product:

Achel Bruin

Product - Achel Bruin
Brewed By:
Achel
Self-Defined Style:
Brown Trappist Ale
Strength (ABV):
8.0% ABV

This dark amber, flavorful beer is surprisingly refreshing at 8% alcohol by volume. It is lightly filtered, but still wholesomely hazy with yeast remaining in the bottle. The Monastery is designing new labels for this beer, but for the moment is can be differentiated from the lighter Achel 8º only by the bottle cap - the blonde has a white cap and the bruin has a gold cap. Both beers are fantastic, however, so don't worry if you didn't get what you expected.

Best With:
Pair with roasted meats, cheeses, and some desserts such as chocolate.
product:

Achel Trappist Extra

Product - Achel Trappist Extra
Brewed By:
Achel
Self-Defined Style:
Trappist Ale
Strength (ABV):
9.5% ABV

Huge, copper-colored, bottle-conditioned ale, still hot off the presses, Achel Trappist Extra is the latest from the tiny brewery at the St. Benedictus Abbey at Achel, in the Northeast of Belgium. At this year's World Beer Championships in Chicago, the Extra was easily the best of the many Trappist beers tasted, scoring 97 points and an "Exceptional" rating. You will find this a very satisfying beer, with just a little malt sweetness, dried fruit flavors, warm sherry notes, and a brisk balancing backdrop of fresh hop bitterness.

Best With:
This rich Belgian style ale is best with creamy cheeses, chocolate desserts, or as a digestif.

Brewed By:
Anchor
Self-Defined Style:
American Pale Ale
Strength (ABV):
6.0% ABV

Humming is an ancient term, used centuries ago to describe both ales and beers. Although its origins are shrouded in mystery, it seemed the perfect fit for a new product from an established company celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first brew in our "new" brewery. From the very day of that first brew we were humming!

Anchor Liberty Ale

Product - Anchor Liberty Ale
Brewed By:
Anchor

American Pale Ale

A special top-fermenting ale yeast is used during fermentation and is responsible for many of Liberty Ale's subtle flavors and characteristics. Carbonation is produced by an entirely natural process called "bunging," which produces champagne-like bubbles. Anchor Small Beer

Product - Anchor Small Beer
Brewed By:
Anchor
Self-Defined Style:
Bitter
Strength (ABV):
3.3% ABV

The tradition of brewing two distinct beers from one mash has existed for thousands of years, and for centuries the term "small beer" was used in English to describe the lighter and weaker second beer. We make our Old Foghorn Barleywine Style Ale from the rich first runnings of an all-malt mash, and Anchor Small Beer is our attempt to duplicate the "small beers" of old by sparging that same mash: sprinkling warm water over the Old Foghorn mash after the first wort has run off, thereby creating a second, lighter brew from the resulting thinner wort.

Best With:
Generally speaking, amber ales are incredibly versatile food beers. Caramalized malts combined with the fruity esters produced during fermentation make amber ales great compliments to grilled meats, particularly beef and pork.
