This is a great read for any

This is a great read for any drinker of the poor American immitations, which compromise too much. I tend to define pilsner pretty loosely in my own reviews. What I really look for is a dry hoppy finish. Bohemia is very often overlooked because it's Mexican but I think it's a good example. I hear that North Coast make a good pilsner which I keep forgetting to look out for.

Thanks for the plug

Refreshing beers of summer?

You're forgetting the quintessential refreshing, thirst-quenching beers of summer, the Belgian Saison and Biere de Garde. The whole point of these beer styles was to refresh midday farm workers in the fields. I don't they deserve to be put in the "other" category.

Saison added

Great recommendation. Given their stylistic similarities, I added saison and biere de garde as one style. One other style I love in summertime is the Berliner weisse. If there's some general agreement on this, I can also add it to the poll.
