Belgian-Style Dark Ale Brewed with Cinnamon, Vanilla, Oak Chips, and Dried Figs 21st Amendment founders Nico Freccia and Shaun O’Sullivan traveled to Belgium to develop the recipe for this special beer, visiting small, traditional breweries in the hop fields of west Flanders, not far from the famous Trappist abbey of Westvletren.

it pours out a deep red
the nose has complex notes of a sweetness
the flavor is hard to describe. it is complex and smooth but familiar. this beer is perfect for a slow sip. it's definitely not a session beer but it is a must try
21st Ammendment Monk's Blood
Dark, ruby complexion, slightly hazy. Aromas of vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, and raisiny, fruity esters. Flavors of vanilla, red delicious apples, raisins, caramel, and cinnamon. Big beer with hefty carbonation to balance the rich flavors, and a dry, fruity finish that leaves some appley esters and cinnamon spice lingering on the tongue and throat.
