Belgian Rye Ale Allagash Fluxus is so named because it is the first beer brewed in our new brewery. Fluxus marks the change and growth of Allagash Brewing Company, and our passage from the corner of our original building to a new, state of the art brewery. Fluxus changes every year.
Fluxus 2012 is a strong golden ale brewed with a combination of barley and spelt and spiced with green and pink peppercorns. Lightly hopped with Northern Brewer, Cascade and Saaz varieties and then fermented with a yeast indigenous to the northern region of Belgium.
As part of our Tribute Series, Allagash is donating $1 from each bottle of Fluxus sold to the Allagash Pediatric Scholarship at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.

Fluxus is an excellent complement to venison with broccolini, pork belly and chicken liver pate with crudités.
