American IPA "A world famous India Pale Ale.It pours a luscious bubbly gold with a fluffy white two finger head. The head retention is perfect. It laces the glass all the way down to the final sip. As soon as I poured it into the glass I could smell hints of lemon, apricot, hops, and a sweet fruit I couldn’t quite detect. When I took my first sip I could immediately taste the mix of apricot, lemon, and hops. Due to the sweet fruit blend I didn’t catch the bitterness of the hops right away, but after a few sips and a pause or two, the bitter flavor hung in my mouth for a while. This is a solid IPA. It is very crisp and refreshing and it definitely quenched my thirst."

Ballast Point Sculpin IPA Tasting Notes
Bottle. Pours a clear, light honey-gold with a subtle, white head. Big fruit aroma, with pineapple and apricot coming through strongly. Also some hints of pine. Very rich flavor. Somewhat juicy, reasonably sweet with just the right amount of bitterness. Not aggressive or abrasive. Notes of grapefruit on the tail. Medium in body, average to light carbonation. Finish is clean and long, with lingering grapefruit bitterness. Really nice. Strikes a sublime balance.
