Brewed By:
Pausa Cafè
Self-Defined Style:
Barleywine Barley Wine is inspired by traditional English Pale malt products with the type Maris Otter and Crystal characteristic, and with Golding hops, which gives hints to the hot beer. Ebony color, compact foam hazelnut tones. Nose rich, complex, fruity, caramel, carob, hazelnut and cocoa paste. The mouth is soft, elegant, warm, with hints of bitter chocolate and malt. Very long, however, manages to be balanced.
Best With:
With an invigorating warming quality and a robust alcoholic content, barley wines are the ultimate night cap beers. The round, viscous body of barley wine and its fruity complexity enable it to pair well with fresh vanilla ice cream. Some experts also recommend pairing a rich barley wine with a strong Cuban cigar.
