Self-Defined Style:
Imperial Stout In honor of the 40th anniversary of the original release of Bitches Brew, Miles Davis’ 1970 paradigm-shifting landmark fusion breakthrough, we’ve created our own Bitches Brew - a bold, dark beer that’s a fusion of three threads imperial stout and one thread honey beer with gesho root, a gustatory analog to Miles’ masterpiece.
Best With:
The roasted and burnt malt notes of stout and its typical hearty nature make it an exceptional compliment to raw or steamed oysters, however stout is also at home with most chocolate or cream based desserts.

Comments
Appearance: Almost completely
Appearance: Almost completely opaque, only the slightest amount of light pushes through. Thick caramel colored head.
Aroma: Very sweet with honey and fruity aromas. Neither me nor 8 other people smelled anything hinting at chocolate or coffee. We all loved the smell though.
Flavor: Not indicative of the smell for us. Very roasty with a chocolate overtone and a sweeter slightly fruity and honey undertone. Left a very long aftertaste of alcohol and roast on the palate.
Mouthfeel: Very thick, almost chocolate syrup like with almost no carbonation. Left a slightly slimey coating on the tongue.
Overall Impression: This was an okay beer, but it could never live up to the hype. I would buy it again, but only to age and see what happened.
Comments: These are my notes from last year. I wound up buying 3 more of the last release and was a bit underwhelmed the honey flavors seem very toned down and the aroma seems more on-par with a normal stout. The beer seems less exotic now, but it's still a great imperial stout.
