Brewed By:
Epic Brewing Company
Self-Defined Style:
India Pale Ale In the beginning, there was nothing. Then an impish brewer piled a ludicrous amount of hops inot a batch of beer. This zymurgical big bang is Epic Armageddon, an apocalyptic assault on your preconceptions and taste buds. It may be too huge for this fragile planet so enjoy this beer like it was the last one on Earth.
It’s not called Armageddon for nothing; this intensely flavoursome beer is packed with flavours of sweet spice, currants and orange rind, all intermingling in a medium bodied, intense beer that begs to be thought about and savoured – as well as consumed and enjoyed. Love that bitter finish.
Best With:
With a bold emphasis on hop bitterness, India pale ales are the ultimate beverage pairing for spicy dishes. The sharp hop presence in most India pale ales can stand up to even the most devilish of spices in Cajun, Malaysian, Japanese, Indian, and Mexican cuisine. Awards:
Best in Class - BrewNZ 2009
Gold Medal - BrewNZ 2009
