Self-Defined Style:
Doppelbock Deep chocolate in color with a rocky head. The aroma reveals complex notes of figs, fruitcake, port, licorice, cherry, raisin, chocolate, black toffee, coffee and caramel. The thick and chewy body is accentuated by the complexity of fruity esters, a coffee like roastiness, molasses, licorice, and toffee flavors. This beer is beautifully balanced with a hoppy/roasty bitter finish.
Best With:
This doppelbock is a great choice with pastries and desserts, roast goose, cured ham, smoked duck, wild turkey, filet with Dijon sauce, Chateaubriand.
