Cape Ann / Fisherman's
Self-Defined Style:
Saison brewed with rhubarb and strawberries Saisons were pale ales originally brewed in the farmhouses of Wallonia, the French speaking region of Belgium. Giving it their own twist, the brewers at Cape Ann added fresh rhubarb and 250lbs whole strawberries to the brew. The result is a light pink hue and flavors that wonderfully compliment the natural tartness of the traditional saison.

Great Summer Change-up!
Appearance: Amber hue, translucent
Aroma: Peppercorn
Flavor: Subtle flavors of strawberry and rhubarb in the finish, hints of peppercorn.
Mouthfeel: Very clean, semi-effervescent
Overall Impression: Impressive!
Comments: This is a great change-up to the traditional summer lagers and ales. A nice departure from the standard lemony flavor of those brews. I was impressed with this one from the word go. Certainly not to be quaffed in mass quantity, but a nice start to an evening. I am impressed with most Cape Ann/Fishermans products and this is another fine example.
