Imperial Porter
Dark, nearly opaque with deep red fringes with a thin tan head that forms when poured. I get the aroma of something close to fresh raisins and the flavors of bitter malts. That's one of the main things I like about this imperial porter; while many others tend to be sweeter, this one is bitter.
appreciation
A very dark pour. The first things that comes to mind in the nose is chocolate and roasted malts. Also some cold coffee. The taste is quite the same but with a bit more coffee and roasted malts. The chocolate kinda fades away. There is also some sweetness in the taste, like caramel or toffee. To me this is an outstanding Porter. Lucky for me I have more of this in the cellar! For those who haven't tried it yet or is still hesitating, if I didn't sound too persuasive for you, just read the numerous reviews found by filecraft.com shared files search and for the future keep your eyes out for it next time you are at the store;) You won't regret!
What I would like to say is
What I would like to say is that if the Flying Dog Gonzo imperial Porter, if at all noticeable for anything, it is nothing other than the sheer unique kick one can have. I am not saying that it is not good in flavors, indeed it is as it is filled with hefty roasted flavors which makes the Flying Dog really a must drink for any beverage lovers. The price is a little bit on the edge but it’s still worth what you are paying for!
Trying to find Gonzo beer...
Not sure if I'm doing this correctly - but I'm trying to find a case of Gonzo beer...by Flying Dog. I've been told everywhere it is seasonal, which makes it harder to find. I'm not having any luck. My husband and I are redecorating our office into a Hunter S. Thompson themed study...memorabilia, etc...and though this would be a great addition. Can anyone help?
gonzo imperial porter
Hi! Gonzo Imperial Porter is NOT seasonal. It's available year round. Where are you? Let me know and I can help!
