Altbier Frosty Knuckle Ale is a German style ale created by Michael & Patrick Beaton based on the story of Gloucester fisherman Howard Blackburn whose hands froze to his oars while lost at sea in a dory during a winter storm in 1883. After much research, we developed a German Ale style which crosses Helles with Alt- flavorful with great drinkability!
