Self-Defined Style:
Double IPA Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules' aggressive, punchy hop profile.
Best With:
Our friends Kate and David at Denver's finest artesian cheese and exotic food shop, The Truffle, find Hercules Double IPA the perfect complement to the following specialty cheeses: Epoisses - a runny and rich washed-rind French cow's milk cheese, Redhawk - a smooth and creamy American washed-rind cow's milk cheese, and Livarot - a golden yellow, semi-soft, pungent French cow's milk cheese. Other delicacies to enjoy alongside Hercules include grilled fish tacos or grilled scallops, and chips and guacamole.
