Self-Defined Style:
India Pale Ale Thanks for choosing to spend the next few minutes with this special homicidally hoppy ale. Savor the moment as the raging hop character engages the imperial qualities of the Malt foundation in mortal combat on the battlefield of your palate!
Best With:
This IPA would have a wonderful relationship with a hearty meal of steak, stew or chili. Strong and sharp cheeses, like the Roquefort or Stilton pair nicely. User login

Lagunitas IPA Tasting Notes
Bottle and draft. One of the most sessionable IPAs around. Pours light gold with a fizzy, all-white head. Citrus fruits and light floral hops in the aroma, with some mild caramel. Decently hoppy flavor, some more citrus, some grass, a little earth. Finishes very crisp and dry. Light to medium in body with lively carbonation. Not as aggressive as many other West Coast IPAs, and therefore much more accessible.
Hoppy Wanna Be
Aroma:subtle hop aroma, but definitely there at times and at times disappears with time, nice citrus aroma.
Appearance: great golden color, a lil amber, but good overall ipa color
Flavor: great overall IPA taste, Hops are not strong upfront but definitely there mid sip. also has a subtle citrus taste. OK mouthfeel.
Mouthfeel: OK
Overall Impression: good LIGHT ipa not a strong thorough ipa, not much of a hop taste and strength is quite weak.
Comments: if you get a chance to get a stone ipa get that, i would much rather drink a stone than a laguintas as this brand offers better other ales than this one. it wasnt a complete let down but not what i expected out of a lagunitas brewery.
