Self-Defined Style:
Nut Brown While the star of this holiday seasonal is the roasted malt character, the well-balanced flavor and brilliant amber tones give Leinenkugel’s Fireside Nut Brown a comforting approachability that you don’t experience in traditional English-style nut browns. English two-row malts give this lager a maple aroma and pronounced chocolate, caramel and hazelnut top notes that dance around the palate before finishing gracefully. Available November and December.

Brown-Amber in color. Very balanced malty flavor. Not very complex, but pleasantly clean and crisp. Nice, slightly sweet finish. This beer is easy drinking, and a good pick to pair with food. The other tasting notes are so misinformed, and couldn't be farther from the truth! This beer is in no way "hoppy" or "bitter"! And, pouring it down the drain is a travesty! This isn't one of my top ten, but DEFINITELY tasty! I'd buy this again.

Flavor:
Like drinking rubbing alcohol mixed with malt and hops. I tried 3 of these before pouring the other 3 from the 6 pack down the drain!

Overall Impression:
This may be the very FIRST beer I've actually poured down the drain. Your tastes may vary, but I could not stand this!

Buyer Beware!

light brown. thin. no discernable malt flavor. overly forward hops. all bitter little flavor or aroma.
