German Style Hefeweizen A traditional German wheat ale. Hefe(yeast)-Weizen(wheat beer) or wheat beer with yeast. This is an unfiltered wheat ale with a special strain of German yeast still in suspension. The cloudiness is from the wheat protein and the yeast.
The style is smooth and creamy with a slight sour note. The clove and banana flavors are produced from the special yeast strain.
