Brewed By:
New Holland
Self-Defined Style:
Oak Aged IPA Mad Hatter I.P.A. aged in Kentucky Barrels. Round, smooth wood character brings a new dimension to dry-hopped, aromatic hoppiness.
Best With:
With a bold emphasis on hop bitterness, India pale ales are the ultimate beverage pairing for spicy dishes. The sharp hop presence in most India pale ales can stand up to even the most devilish of spices in Cajun, Malaysian, Japanese, Indian, and Mexican cuisine. User login

Comments
appearance: pours a deep pumpkin orange very little head that the deminishes to a ring around the edge.
aroma: strong smell of oak which lends to vanilla and butterscotch. small hint of grapefruit citrus
flavor: flavor is very close to the nose. starts with big oak, vanilla, butterscotch, caramel, and a tiny hint of char. the flavors lend to a perceived sweetness that is quickly taken over by citrus hop bitterness. the sip ends semi dry with a slight bit of grapefruit lingering.
mouthfeel: carbonation low with low to medium body. smooth for an ipa.
overall: very similar to my local oaked Ipa rumble from great divide. My favorite out of the hatters series I have had, black, rye, and imperial.
