Brewed By:
Nils Oscar
Self-Defined Style:
Oktoberfest Originally brewed as a 1997 Oktoberfest, the Kalasöl was so popular that Nils Oscar decided to continue to brew it every year. A slightly dark Oktoberfest, the beer could also be classified as a Vienna-style or Festbier. It is a well-rounded beer with a mildly roasty, bready, character.
The Nils Oscar Kalasöl is produced with Münchenermalt, Dark Caramel malt, Chocolate malt, and some roasted barley. British Fuggles, American Cascade, and Czech Saaz hops are used. It complements heavy foods such as roast game, spicy stews, or caramelized, grilled poultry.
