To celebrate the tenth anniversary (X) of Old Rasputin in 2006, we brewed a special batch of our much-loved Russian Imperial Stout, which we aged in Bourbon barrels for a year and in 2007 released in 500 ml bottles with cork and wire finish and a special commemorative label. Over the next two years XI and XII followed, and now, after a two year wait, we are proud to introduce Barrel Aged Old Rasputin XIV. The depth, intensity, and complexity of the flavor profile of this special release, like its predecessors, make it a worthy tribute to Old Rasputin.

Prior to 2010, Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin was released in such limited quantities that it was available only at the North Coast Brewing retail shop in Fort Bragg, California. However, we received so many requests for this beer that as of the 12th anniversary (XII), we began producing enough Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin to put into broader, but still limited, distribution.

We guarantee that the Old Rasputin XIV will be worth the search. It is amazing stuff. Aging in oak whiskey barrels adds a level of complexity that amplifies the espresso/chocolate notes in the flavor profile and takes this unique beer to new heights.
