Self-Defined Style:
India Pale Ale Brewing the perfect ale is truly a balancing act ... Hazardous work you might say. With Hop Hazard our challenge was to hand craft a malt rich base that could counterbalance a combustible five-hop blend and still leave your taste buds with enough room to enjoy a unique, dry-hopped finish.
Best With:
The generous hop character makes this beer an ideal pairing with spicy foods such as barbecue, dry-rubbed ribs, or ethnic cuisine such as curry based Indian food, wasabi based Japanese dishes, or spicy Thai entrees. User login

River Horse Hop Hazard Pale Ale Tasting Notes
Bottle. Pours a ruby-brown with some creamy, off-white head. Pleasant aroma of lightly sweet hops and some citrus. Flavor starts off alright with some good, malty sweetness but then gets obscenely bitter - and without any residual sweetness to counter. The finish is dry and tastes like dirt. Also some pine and pitch. Very earthy. Some sips were better than others, but on the whole this was a little abrasive.
