Brewed By:
Rogue
Self-Defined Style:
Chipotle Pepper Ale Dedicated to Spanish author Juan de la Cueva, who, in 1575, wrote of a an dish that combined seedless chipotles with beer: Chipotle Ale is based on Rogue's American Amber Ale, but delicately spiced with smoked jalapeno (chipotle) Chile peppers. Deep amber in color with a tight head, rich malty aroma, delicately smooth and crisp flavor, and subtle chipotle chili finish. Chipotle Ale is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, and Maier Munich Malts; Willamette and Cascade hops; and Chipotle (smoked jalapeno) Peppers. Blend it with Rogue Chocolate Stout and create a Mole' black and tan!
Best With:
Chipotle Ale is the perfect companion to spicy Mexican dishes, particularly those loaded with chipotle and jalapeno peppers. User login

i enjoyed the first one I had. picked another up couple months l
Best Pepper Beer Evah!
Appearance: amber
Aroma: chipotle, spice, yeast, malts
Flavor: light malt, with sweet, smoky overtones
Mouthfeel: slightly silky to crisp, with a slightly dry finish and a pepper-induced warmth at the back of the throat
Overall Impression: fantastic!
Comments: I love good beer and love peppers of all kinds, so I try every "pepper-infused" beer I ever come across. Most are a disappointment at best. Some are downright nasty. Rogue got it right! I love this beer by itself, or especially paired with tacos mexicanos!
