Sixpoint Berserker Bock

This second offering in the ongoing Mad Scientists line of beers is named the "Berserker Bock" in reference to an obscure but significant cultural fact – beer played a significant role in the very influential Viking period in Medieval Europe. The "Berserkers" had brewers accompany them on their voyages, and the brewers would collaborate with local medicine men and forage for herbs, spices, and extra ingredients to place into their brews. In a similar analog, the Sixpoint Brewers of Red Hook, Brooklyn have also added a special additional ingredient – fresh roasted Guatemala Finca El Injerto beans from Stumptown Coffee Roasters in Red Hook.
