Self-Defined Style:
Farmhouse Ale Broadly speaking, a farmhouse ale - or saison - is an esoteric style native to the French/Belgian border region. Characterized by a golden to light amber color, light to medium body, and noticeable fruity/spicy esters, this beer, known also as a "country ale" was traditionally brewed in primitive conditions in farmhouse breweries for consumption throughout the warm weather by seasonal farm workers.
Best With:
Saisons are incredibly versatile brews, but this one is perfectly compatible with a cumin-habanera shrimp over greens, most Thai foods as well as spicy pork sausage with a side of sautéed apples. User login
