Self-Defined Style:
American Brown Ale Old Brown Dog has been cited as a classic example of the "American Brown Ale" style of beer. Compared to a typical English Brown Ale, Old Brown Dog is fuller-bodied and more strongly hopped.
Best With:
This brown ale works exceptionally well with steak, cured meats, barbecue, game and cheese. User login

Smuttynose Old Brown Dog gets a B.
Appearance:
Dark Brown
Aroma:
Strong Malt scent
Flavor:
Malt overpowers a bit with slight hop aftertaste
Mouthfeel:
A bit strong
Overall Impression:
Not too bad, was hoping to get a smoother taste to this, but still pretty good. I would rate the Wachusett Nut Brown Ale better than this, though.
Comments:
You have to try these craft beers to find what works for you. I am partial to Brown/Nut Brown Ales, and this one is good. I would be hesitant to call it great.
