Biere de Garde This smooth but deceptively strong amber ale is one of our most popular seasonal brews. Sold during the holiday season as "French Country Christmas Ale", this bottle-conditioned version is true-to-style compared to imported versions of the classic "Biere de Garde" style. Southampton Biere de Garde has a complex spicy malt flavor accented by a mild herbal character of imported French "Strisslespalt" hops. The alcohol content of 7.2% is perceptible in the flavor and as a "warming" effect in the finish.

This Biere de Garde pairs nicely with fresh salmon, hors d'oeuvres, Quiche Lorraine, Cobb salad, gazpacho, tabouli, thickly sliced potato chips, fresh strawberries or cherries. Excellent with brie cheese.
