Self-Defined Style:
Oatmeal Stout While it may resemble a popular Irish Stout, our Oatmeal Stout is quite different. Most notably, it's sweeter. Chocolate, coffee and caramel flavors round out this smooth, full-bodied beer.
Best With:
The rich, silky quality of this oatmeal stout make it an ideal pairing for fresh briny, raw oysters right out of the shell. User login

Summit Oatmeal Stout
Appearance: Black with a creamy head
Aroma:
Flavor: Rich and delicious, but lighter than you might expect. Mild and a bit sweet, lacking the bitterness you may associate with a Guiness.
Mouthfeel: Not thick; surprisingly light.
Overall Impression: A really wonderful brew.
Comments: Would go out of my way for this one.
Believe it or not, I had this draft brew with Spanish tapas at Amada in Philadelphia (terrific restaurant). Would not have guessed that an oatmeal stout would pair so well with that type of food, but it was so good that I did it twice!
