appearance: rich, deep mahogany. nearly opaque. short-lived light amber head. good lacing.
aroma: thick, malty bouquet with heavy molasses undertones and hints of bright, peppery, spicy hop bitterness.
taste: delicious. a huge flavor bomb that lives up to the agressive nose that precedes it. a wash of toasty malt slowly gives way to a nicely balanced, bright bitterness and sharp, spicy hop aroma.
fantastic beer overall, but a huge huge profile to be sure.
