Porter’s an elusive dark ale that has been constantly changing during its long 300 year history. We figured it was about RIPE for some REINVENTION. 23.3 Plato 40IBUs 9.2 ABV
Best With:
Porter is an excellent accompaniment to shellfish, particularly steamed oysters and clams. Robust porter and Baltic porter pairs extremely well with chocolate and cream based desserts.
As specialty beers are typically all made with flavor enhancing ingredients, foods with complimentary ingredients are generally an ideal match. For example, pumpkin beers pair well with spiced pumpkin pie, and chocolate beers tend to work well with chocolate based desserts.
