Brewed By:
Unibroue
Self-Defined Style:
Strong Amber-Red Ale Maudite has a deep amber-red color with a rocky foam head and an appealing aroma of wild spices and floral hop notes. It is spicy, vinous, and deliciously complex with a crisp hop finish.
Best With:
Whether it is paired with pasta marinara, a brick-oven pizza, Flemish stew, spice-rubbed pork tenderloin or dal makhani, Maudite is 'devilishly' satisfying.

Comments
Love it!
first taste
caramel brown
lightly hopped.
slight alcohol hotness
nice malt. not very bitter, fruity nose.
slightly yeasty. bottle fermented. leave 1/2 " in the bottle.
One from the Belgian Canucks
Appearance: Dark Amber leaning towards Deep Red, cloudy from the yeast. Head is large bubbles, fairly high carbonation, but fast to dissipate. Large effervescent bubbly head is replaced with a less copious dense head with tight little bubbles.
Aroma: Musty, like my grand dads cellar that was stored with enough cord wood for several winters.
Flavor: Instantly hit with some coriander and other spice flavors. Not sure if it is all from the yeast or if spices are thrown in the mix when this is brewed/fermented.
Mouthfeel: Thin.
Overall Impression: A good beer, worth the price of admission to the liquor store to get it. Not overly remarkable, but far from ordinary.
Comments: A fair pour. Wonder how it would age? Would something unique develop in the bottle?
