Banana Bread Beer Wells Banana Bread Beer partly takes its name from the Saxon phrase for beer - 'Liquid Bread'. Combining a traditional ale recipe with the flavor of 'Fair trade' bananas creates an intriguing and flavorsome pint. It has been described by renowned International beer writer, Michael Jackson, as "...fruity roughness of winter barley and toffeeish sweetness of crystal malt...hugely tempting aroma of bananas; creamy head; firm, silky body."

dessert beer
This beer has a light amber color with a very sweet aroma. Definitely smell the bananas. Whitish head . Drinks smooth with good hop finish. For 5.2% abv really can't tell. A good beer for after dinner
Unique Niche
Nice banana and nut flavor, banana tastes of extract flavoring. Pours smoothly, lacks the expected mouthfeel. A very nice, occasional delight.
banana bread
pours an amber color with a whiteish head , aroma is definitely banana bread, mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, the hops come thru right off and then give way to a light banana taste and then the malts follow which gives the bread and nut taste, it finishes clean. i wish the banana flavor was stronger with more body.
Banana
Bubbly with a whitish head very strong banana aroma but doesn't finish as strong.
skip it
you can smell the extract
Wells Banana Bread Tasting Notes
Pours a light orange-brown with a very bubbly, white head. Nose holds extreme banana, some light malts. Flavor has some banana to it but it doesn’t match the intensity of the aroma. I wish it was sweeter. A tad creamy, this beer brings to mind banana cream pie. I wish the beer had more body, though. Finish is crisp. Interesting and decent, but as it is I wouldn’t put it above novelty status.
