Brewed By:
Widmer
Self-Defined Style:
Pale Ale With its unique citrus character, smooth drinkability, and distinctive hop character, Drifter Pale Ale is truly an original. Brewed with generous amounts of Summit hops, a variety known for their intense citrus flavors and aromas, Drifter has a taste unique to the Pale Ale category. True to style, the bittering hops are perceptible enough to give the beer a crisp, clean, quenching finish, yet also soft enough to keep the beer smooth and balanced.

Comments
overall a bit bitter, expecting more of mild blue moon taste - definitely not!
not too bad, but bitter, sort of like sfo steamer!
Beer&Food pairing
Appearance:Dark orangish color, but still transparent.
Aroma:the smell of hops really stick out paired with it's clean sent of citrus fruits.
Flavor:Definitly citrus
Mouthfeel:Head is prickely and disapates very quickly. It's a light-medium body with slight bitterness.
Overall Impression:Very good! I really enjoyed this brew and look forward to more from the Widmer Bros.
Comments:I read here that an American Pale Ale would pair will with seafood or shellfish, so I made shrimp burritos that were seasoned with cilantro and lime, the paring was absoultely perfect and the beer cleared my palette nicely.
