Self-Defined Style:
Scottish Heavy A traditional Scottish ale brewed with an emphasis on the malt charachteristics.
Lightly hopped, as is true to this style of beer, with fruity malt aromas and a toffeeish mouthfeel.
4.2% vol
Ingrdients: Water, Malted Barley, Malted Wheat, Hops, Yeast. Contains Gluten.
Scottish Heavy is a classic style of scottish ale brewed with less hops than most english beers due to the lack of availablity as well as the Scottish pallette for sweeter tastes - which came first? chicken or lack of hops?
Best With:
The robust maltiness of Scottish ales really brings out the flavor of game birds such as pheasant or quail, and works exceptionally well with lamb and roast pork. User login
