Inaugural Farmhouse Select Series cider debuts late November 2011
Woodchuck Hard Cider is again expanding its line of craft cider. This fall will see the debut of the Farmhouse Select Hard Cider Series. Farmhouse Select is a small batch artisanal line, featured in a 750ml corked bottle.
The first of the Farmhouse Select Series: Original '91. It's a throwback to our early days in cider making. The year was 1991. A winemaker began tinkering with apples in a Proctorsville, Vermont garage. It gave birth to an original American hard cider. Woodchuck Hard Cider.
Made with only fresh local Vermont apples and premium Belgian beer yeast, Original '91 has a natural cloudiness and pleasing feel on the palate. Every expertly crafted small batch pairs well with artisanal cheeses and pork dishes.
A new bottling line will be dedicated exclusively to the Farmhouse Select Series. At 6.9% alcohol by volume (ABV), Original '91 has a suggested retail price of $10.99 per bottle, with year-round availability in major markets across the United States.
