More Bark then Bite
34/50 - Black with tan light head. Sweet malty aroma with no hop notes. Marked sweetness, coffee highlights with a minute hop bitterness after the finish. Over all, not much flavor as I like for dark beers. What flavor there is is from the dark malt, leaving some residual sugar. Would work as a dark session beer.
back in black
i was not sure what to expect, but pleasantly surprised. it poured a deep black with tan, frothy but quickly dissapating head. a coffee aroma, with a similar flavor on the front end fading to a carmely malt finish. the feel is slightly oily and soft.
B- per beer adv, but for those who enjoy a sweet finish, this is a must try
Very smooth and enjoyable
