Happy March 1st! The month that will rescue us from the short days and long winter nights has finally arrived. And with it: some fruity spring seasonals to get you in the mood. Bring on the apricots and strawberries!
Hitting the market in the upcoming weeks are Dogfish Head's Aprihop - a dry-hopped IPA brewed with fresh apricots and Abita's Strawberry Harvest Lager - a crisp lager brewed with local Louisiana strawberries! Both of these brews showcase the wonderful essence of the fruit without being overly...well, fruity. They are perfect for transitioning us into the warmer days ahead and also pair nicely with light salads and fish...just in case you fattened up a bit over the winter and need to lose a few! (T - 3 months 'til bathing suit time!)
