Time for a Weyerbacher Blanche

Our friends at Weyerbacher can brew almost anything. While they are very well known for their big, barrel-aged intoxicating ales, they are extremely adept at brewing the most traditional of all beer recipes. The Weyerbacher team started brewing their interpretation of the Belgian wit after a trip to Belgium eleven years ago. In fact, traveling, tasting and studying are all part of the process for inventing a new brew at Weyerbacher. The latest in their seasonal line-up, the Blanche, is the perfect anytime beer, but its thirst-quenching qualities make it especially wonderful for a hot summer day. Be sure to pick some up to savor throughout the long season ahead.

In the nose you'll notice spiciness from the coriander seeds and dried Curacao orange peels added during the boil. In the mouth you'll find a mild and refreshing ale with a hint of dryness from the wheat ingredients. A clean finish follows with just a hint of tart spiciness.

Best With: 

This Belgian-style wheat beer works well on its own as an aperitif, but also pairs well with lighter fare such as salads with a citrus dressing. It can work surprisingly well with omelets made with apples and goat cheese. Some people enjoy this beer with a slice of orange as a garnish.
