The world's most popular beer style, which includes pilsner, American lager, and helles lager serves as the ultimate thirst quencher during the heat of summer.

History: The first golden lager was produced in Plzn, Bohemia (now Czech Republic) in 1842 with the advent of advanced grain drying technology that resulted in brilliantly golden hued beer. Today, the vast majority of beer consumed worldwide is golden lager.
Food: Golden lagers are among the most diverse food beers, with the more straightforward American lagers pairing well with fried and oily foods, particularly pizza and pub grub, and the more assertively bitter Bohemian and German pilsners, which work wonderfully with saltwater fish.
