The beers of the 124 year old Narragansett Brewery have finally made their way back to Washington, DC! One of the only American breweries to maintain production throughout prohibition with a "medicinal" license, Narragansett is a true cultural phenomenon that every beer lover should experience, and there is no better way to experience it than with the man who revived it. See you there neighbor!

DC Launch Party for Williams Brothers' Heather Ale on Draft at Jack Rose
Scotland's Williams Bros. Brewing Co. has just purchased a keg machine, and their famous Froach Heather Ale is the first of their mighty ales to reach our shores. Co-owner and master brewer Bruce Williams will be at Jack Rose on October 22, 2012 to toast its arrival with us. Heather Ale is a recipe that Bruce randomly ran across when he was just a humble homebrew shop employee back in 1988. The recipe was a centuries-old family heirloom brought to him by a woman that agreed to share it with him if he taught her how to brew it.
Maine Beer arrives in DC!!! - Church Key/Birch and Barley - November 6, 2012
Maine Beer Company, owned and operated by brothers Dan and David Kleban, produce (mostly)hoppy, American-style ales in small batches at their tiny brewery located in Portland, Maine. Their beers are lucious and flavorful, yet simple and elegant at the same time. What they brew is truly remarkable, and the fact that they donate one percent of all their sales to environmental charities is remarkable as well. As a self-respecting beer afficianoado, if you haven't tasted their concoctions yet, you owe it to yourself.
