Van Steenberge Leute
Brewed By:
Van Steenberge
Self-Defined Style:
Belgian dopplebock
Strength (ABV):
7.5% ABV

Leute Bokbier was produced by brewery Van Steenberge for the first time in 1927. The billy goat and the hop tendril in the logo refer to the billies of the former brewery-farm and its bordering hop fields. Along with the termination of the farming activities, unfortunately, meant the end of brewing as well. Leute Bokbier disappeared until 1997. LEUTE BOKBIER unites all the good from the past with the knowledge of the present. LEUTE BOKBIER is a dark red heavy top-fermented beer with a second fermentation in the bottle or in the barrel.

Epic Smoked and Oaked

Epic Smoked and Oaked
Brewed By:
Epic
Self-Defined Style:
Belgian Strong Ale
Strength (ABV):
10.5% ABV

This is a Belgian-style strong ale but with an American fusion twist dreamt up by Epic. Using authentic Belgian-style yeast, this is a malt-driven beer with Maris Otter malt as a base and a hint of Pilsner malt. For the first twist we use smoked cherry wood malt that works it’s magic, bringing a smoky sweetness to the caramel malts and a bit of peat flavor as well. This ale then really marries together when it hits the cask.

Brewed By:
Ben Middlemiss
Self-Defined Style:
Abbey Ale
Strength (ABV):
8.7% ABV

Nota Bene is the great ale from veteran craft brewer Ben Middlemiss. NB: it is also a latin phrase used to indicate that special attention should be paid to something. So, "note well", and you will be richly rewarded with a complexity of flavours and aromas. Brewer Ben says you may be forgiven for "...making a habit of drinking this Belgian-style Abbey ale." A beautifully crafted, complex-charactered ale, Nota Bene weighs in at 8.7% ABV and has an almost orange hue. The flavours are warm and dry and driven by a spicy hop fruit character, laced with an unobtrusive warming alcohol effect.

Brewed By:
New Belgium
Self-Defined Style:
Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Strength (ABV):
9.5% ABV
Bitterness (IBU):

Before there was New Belgium Brewing, there was Abbey Ale. It was the first beer of home brewer and New Belgium co-founder, Jeff Lebesch. So the love brews deep for Abbey Grand Cru.

To date, Abbey Ale has garnered no less than 16 medals at the Great American Beer Festival 7 of those being Gold. Take that award-winning recipe, precisely increase the hops, malt and fermentation time, and the result is a Grand Cru worth collecting. And that s exactly what many of us at New Belgium, as well as a growing number of fans, have done.
