Brewed by Amarcord Brewery in the small medieval town of Apecchio, Italy, AMA Bruna is a beer made specifically for the Italian dinner table. Designed by Brooklyn Brewmaster Garrett Oliver, Ama Bruna is refermented in the bottle with brown candy sugar(7,5% ABV). Complex, but soft on the palate, the malt flavors are pronounced but subtle, with flavors of toffee, a touch of chocolate, pear and cinnamon as a result of the caramelized sugar.

Palmero is a traditional Abbey Dubbel with a healthy addition of dates from the Coachella Valley. Fruity esters from the Belgian yeast strain combine with a delicate date sweetness. This beer is full of flavors of caramel, raisin, rum and spice. Palmero (the beer) was designed to show off the wonderful complex flavor of Southern California Dates.

A creamy tan head rises above a deep mahogany beer. The nose has sweet notes of roasted malt and delicate fruit, the body is full and rich with a fine hop bitterness on the finish due to the use of hops and roasted malts. Generaal is brewed without spices though many spice notes can be detected in the beer.

buttery cheeses, beef stew, roasted meats

Ben Middlemiss Benediction Ale made its first U.S. appearance in 2000 at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Philadelphia as part of Michael Jackson's "10 Most Exciting Beers of the Millennium." We were the ones that made sure that beer made it to Michael's tasting, and nearly 10 years later, we finally got the chance to formally import Ben's beer. We brought in the first batch of Benediction earlier this year,and it sold out quickly.

For the winter season, we traditionally make a Belgian-style Dubbel; a rich malty pleasure that is the perfect accompaniment to those long winter nights. Last year we decided to play around with the concept and see where it might take us. After much tinkering -with a number of unique ingredients combined with wood barrel aging- we arrived at this wonderful juxtaposition of fruitiness and maltiness which harmonized magically to produce this delicious winter warmer.

Lamb, wild game, charcuterie, pâté, duck, rabbit, braised short ribs, cherry reductions, bread pudding.
