We craft our Grand Cru with pilsner malt imported from Belgium, and use a classic brewing yeast from the same iconicbrewing nation. The fine, subtle malt profile balances well with the fruityesters produced by this distinctive yeast. A blend of noble hops adds just a touch of hop aroma, which nicely rounds out this deep-golden, slightly tart, effervescent delight. It’s a perfect complement for any occasion, special or otherwise. 9.9% ABV.
We teamed up with our buddies from Indiana-based Sun King Brewery for a CANlaboration project to unite the brewer’s friendship and passion for pushing the boundaries of craft beer in a can. Brewers from Oskar Blues and Sun King made the trek to each others breweries for months, and are excited to bring you CHAKA, a limited-release Belgian-style ale — the first craft beer to be packaged in the Alumi-Tek® re-sealable pint bottle from Ball Corporation.
This special edition is a full-bodied and distinctive strong beer developed within the abbey to celebrate and honor the 150th anniversary of the brewery.
Produced with 100% natural ingredients, its pale golden robe and champagne sparkle is topped by a rich white head of foam. The distinctive bouquet evokes the rich fruity and complex notes of the Chimay yeast in harmony with a delicate spicy note and the fragrance of fresh noble hops. At 10% alcohol, the flavor is full-bodied and complex with a slight, but refreshing tang note and a crisp hop finish that will delight the palate.
La Trappe Isid’or was specially brewed to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Beerbrewery de Koningshoeven and was named after Brother Isidorus, the first brewer of the O.L.V. Koningshoeven Abbey. The first brew of this ceremonial beer was aged in oak barrels. This aging ensures the balanced and rich taste of this unique, exclusive Isid’or Oak Aged.
Our Grand Cru is a rich, golden color with fruity and spicy alcohol flavors, supported by a soft malt character. The bottle-conditioning creates the effervescence and a massive, long-lasting head which results in “Belgian lace” as the head fades. The beer consists of malted and unmalted wheat with malted barley; the addition of European noble hops and three Belgian yeast strains create subtle pear, orange and apple flavors.
Corruption, Greed and Lust, they’re all represented on the books today. Tomorrow they’ll be stringing Gluttony, Desire and Sloth. Go ahead, tell yourself you’re better than all of them. But you can’t. Hell can be funny like that. Down here it’s all just sin. Everyone here is screwed just like you. They don’t care who you sliced, diced or cheated. No one is escaping this heinous place.
North Coast Brewing’s newest premium beer, Grand Cru. Reminiscent of the brewery’s Gold Medal-winning Twentieth Anniversary Ale, North Coast Grand Cru is brewed with pilsner malt and agave nectar, then aged in oak bourbon barrels. “We’ve had a good time exploring the brewing possibilities outside of the standard beer styles,” said Mark Ruedrich, Brewmaster and President.
Our 20th Anniversary! Let's roll a bunch of New Belgium together and put it in a bottle. Start with the backbone of Fat Tire, but double the malt and hops; Add in crisp Asian Pears, a very Balgian thing to do; and bring it to life with a Saison yeast.
