With addition of extra malt, the new recipe, based on 3 different kinds of malt added in a volume of 4 times the content of a table beer, provide the Gulden Draak 9000 Quadruple with a deep golden amber colour and a fruity aroma. Together the aroma and smooth, subtle and sweet taste ensures a wonderful drinking experience.

Just like the other specialty beers of Brewery Van Steenberge the Gulden Draak 9000 Quadruple is a beer of top fermentation with secondary fermentation. A wine yeast is used for the secondary fermentation, which also contributes to the grandiose taste.

We took our double gold medal winning Brainless® Belgian, added cherry puree and aged it in French Chardonnay casks for a secondary fermentation in the barrels. Pours a beautiful deep ruby color with a medium white head. A nice nose of sweet cherries, Belgian malts, and barrel aging.

This unique quadruple abbey ale pours a ruby reddish color with a large head. Smells sweet, malty, caramelly, with notes of cherry, orange, peach and apricot. The taste starts malty and sweet with a slight hint of the alcohol, but finishes smooth. The high alcohol content is hidden rather well.
